For the past 30 years, Barry Jamieson has been on the cutting edge of electronic music, pushing its boundaries and carving out a reputation for himself as an innovator with an eclectic repertoire.
Barry aka Mono Electric Orchestra, has worked closely with major artists such as Madonna, Seal, New Order, Thom Yorke, The Flaming Lips and many others. His projects and collaborations have earned him numerous accolades and international recognition.
In 2004, Barry was nominated for a Grammy for his work with Seal. In 2008, he received the Best Score award for New Emissions of Light and Sound at Sundance Film Festival (Extreme Sports Documentary category).
Barry has spent the last 8 years recording and mixing with Sasha and Charlie May and was instrumental in the making of Sasha’s ground-breaking albums, Involver and Involver 2.
Recently, Barry composed the score for an upcoming Netflix documentary, titled The Heart of the Bear. Barry has infused this new project with fresh ideas using piano and classical music as he continues to explore and challenge musical boundaries.
